well it all started in 2004 i was an electrician working for sylvania lighting services. great job, great benefits, way to much overtime, and working out of state on road trips and living in hotels it was not the dream job for a guy with a new marriage and 2 step kids.
so after a 3 month seperation with my family i came back, quit my job and started NW Window Washing, a friend drew up a logo freehand, easy since he also does tatoos full time. scoured the internet for info, bought a ebook for $20 bucks. bought my supplies from windows101.com, since its a local shop i drove there and talked to the owner for 2 hours and bought supplies. he only sold me what i needed and told me to go out and make some money and then come back and buy more stuff!
after seeing defeat in the storefront game, i started into residential as a last ditch effort and jobs poured in and word of mouth referralls came in after that! what i niche and i had found it!
now going into my 4th year, second year i have not had to find a part time job for the winter months! there are never peaks with out the valleys! its a roller coaster ride and i love it!
stick with it, never give up and have faith that this does work! because it does if you have a simple smile, say thank you, and do great quality work!
